<div align="center">***Rules & Roles for RPing in The Naruto RP Group***</div>

-These rules apply to ALL Naruto Rp Villages, not just Konoha Members-

Section 1: Standard RP Terminology

*RP= Roleplay, taking on a role of a fictional character of your creation to act out a story and develop your personality and abilities ( i.e. a ninja in a Naruto themed RP village).

*IC= In character, meaning you are currently playing your RP character and are not being your true self. Your text will be green via the RP tool to let people know you are IC, as well as the label on your flip titler.

*OOC= Out of character, meaning you are being yourself and not RPing. There's no need to use symbols like // [ ] ( ) to denote OOC anymore, since we will be using the RP tool. You can if you want to, but it's not mandatory.

*Gamemasters= The gamemasters will be the people who oversee all Rps and Rp events, and have the power to judge whether an Rp is valid or if it has not shown enough effort. The gamemasters can also create Rp missions and events for the whole village.

*RP Commands= Rename the Rp tool to your character's RP name in your inventory, then when using the Rp tool attached to your HUD, type /2 before you speak in the open chat. This will make your text green.

-To type a RPed action type /2 /me (and an action sentence: jumps up and catches the kunai in mid air before it can hit her shoulder) It will look like this in green text:

-Ayame Uchiha jumps up and catches the kunai in mid air before it can hit her shoulder

-All Rp is typically in present tense, first person for direct dialogue, 3rd person for actions, and can be past tense if your character is discussing past events or doing a flashback scenario.

*Flip Titlers= should tell people your RP name, age, rank, any clans you are in, and any other info you want people to know about your character.

Section 2: RP Rules

*RP Tags= When roleplaying please wear the right tag with your proper RP rank. Your tag must be an official group tag of Konoha origin, or of another Naruto themed village. If you wish to RP as a guest or observer with no Naruto affiliations that is okay. All RPing members must be in this Naruto Rp group.

*Naruto Themed Dresscode= Depending on your age and rank you must follow the Naruto ninja dress code. Students must be short and childlike since you will be around 12-14 years of age. Genin can be a little older, but still need to dress like a genin would dress (Ninja pants and shoes, kunai holster, your respective village Headband, etc.). Chuunin and Jounin range from teens to older adults and should wear the green flack jackets and traditional ninja gear. ANBU need to wear ANBU uniforms with their masks, Sannin can dress as they want as long as it fits the ninja look, and village Kages can do the same, or wear a Kage uniform.

-If you need the ninja pants, socks, and/or shoes, IM Ayame Fujita and I can give you them for free! For anything else it's best to shop around.

*No Godmodding= This means you cannot make your character a super ninja or immortal god impervious to attack and injury. This means NO Jinchuuriki monsters (tailed beasts), cursed marks, or any other overly powerful attributes are allowed unless used for an RP event.

-You should not have multiple bloodline abilities (i.e. Hyuuga's Byakugan and Uchiha's Sharingan), BUT you can be a mix of different clans. If you are a mix then you must invent your own new abilities and they must be reasonable. So say, if a person was born from an Uchiha and Hyuuga parent, they may have a new unique doujutsu (eye technique) that has never before been seen. Therefore more possibilities are available for people to create diverse and interesting characters. We are 400 years in the future of the Naruto series so it's entirely possible people from different clans interbreed.

-You cannot do any attacks outside of the ability of your Rp rank (i.e. a genin shouldn't be able to use mangekyou sharingan). You also cannot cause instant death on your opponent, or dismember their limbs/make them a vegetable with some super powerful, unavoidable attack. You must always let your opponent have an opportunity to respond to your attacks and have a chance to defend themselves or counterattack. If you feel the Rp session is getting out of hand and your opponent is breaking this rule contact an Admin or Co-admin and stop the RP.

*Perma-death Optional Rp= Your character cannot die forever in an RP unless YOU want your character to die. If you are in a bad fight you can be seriously injured or killed, but you and the other person must agree on the death of your character and it has to be done fairly. If you choose for them to die you have to start over again as a new character from the bottom and work your way up, or as a new character of any of the ranks inbetween your old rank, or stay the same as your old rank. If you stay the same rank you need a good Rp story to back you up (i.e. You were a relative of the character that died, or you came from another village, etc.)

*No OOC Drama= This is what causes RP communities to come crashing down. This means that you should not take offense to anything that happens IC during a Rp session. This is a game and no one here is out to get anyone, so take it in stride and move on. If you have differences with someone who doesn't Rp as well as you, be patient with them and even try to help them rather than getting upset and belittling them.

*No OOC when people are RPing= If you see a group of people RPing please do not interupt. If you and a group of people are Rping, keep OOC to a bare minimum OR go into IMs to be OOC. It's not fair to many people who love to Rp when it keeps getting interupted with OOC conversations, gestures, and so forth.

*Rp with details, details, details!= Everyone has their own level of skill and style of RP. There is no set way to do it. We only ask that you use the RP tools found by the main gate when you RP so we know if you are IC or OOC. Try to be descriptive about your environment, your character's mood and thoughts, and your actions. This is especially important for battle RPs where your opponent needs a clear and precise image of what your character is doing.

-Example of a good descriptive RP post: "Kentoji walks down the dusty path of his village, looking around his surroundings and enjoying the cool breeze that blows past him"

-Example of a better, even more specific post: "Kentoji walks down the dusty path near the main gate, noticing how the old wood squeaks and creeks whenever anyone opens it to enter Konoha. He idly looks down at his feet while he walks, noticing how the sand and pebbles bounce off his toes. 'Man, I'm so bored...if only there were some missions to do' he thinks to himself, yearning for a bit of action. He feels a cool breeze blow past him, ruffling his hair, and decides to continue on his way.

Section 3: RP Ranks and Required Tasks

*Ranks and Abilities= Rank is only a title given to people who have earned it. Dont think just because your a Genin you are extremely limited and will lose everytime to someone of a higher rank. Just like in real life, a low ranking fighter could beat a high ranking fighter if he is smart and has enough skill. This however, does not mean you can easily gain advanced abilities at your current stage. Respect IC should always be shown to your higher ranks. Rp ranks will be earned by completing a certain number of RP events AND having approval that your Rps are quality as well as quantity. This means that even if you do 50 Rp sessions, we can deem then no good and you will not rank up. We want to see effort put into your RP sessions.

***Clans and Other Groups/Special training***

If you want to further enrich your character you may want to join a clan, or become a specialized ninja such as a Medical Nin or a Hunter Nin. Each clan or organization has their own sets of rules and RP tasks to accomplish so please contact the leaders to find out how you can join!

*Other- If anyone thinks they can handle the responsibilites of creating their own unique clans or ninja divisions, contact the admins and send us a proposal in a notecard. If we like the idea and approve you will be the leader of your group and full control of its rules as long as they are within reason and don't break any of the rules of the Naruto Rp Group.

*Special Training for extra Rp experience= You can learn things on your own without having to go through traditional RP training. These kinds of Rp activities can include reading scrolls on various jutsu and other ninja techniques. Reading these documents will give your character the abilities they learn from the scrolls. Scrolls will be created by any high ranked member who demonstrates a strong passion for Rp. The scrolls can be made as quizzes, riddles, number games, or other activities that are puzzle-like and need to be figured out. They shouldn't be too easy or straight forward. Once you figure it out you can go over it with the person who gave it to you, and if you got it correct, the scroll will count as an Rp mission towards ganing the next rank.

*Self-Training= You can Rp out a training scenario by yourself and save it to a notecard, and it can count towards you Rp goals for achieving the next rank. The gamemasters will review your Rp and let you know if it's good enough to count.

*Sparring Rp= Having random spars with your friends and rivals is a great way to gain Rp battle experience and it counts towards reaching the next rank. Keep in mind however, that each time you spar you will gain damage, so you shouldn't fight say 10 times a day, since realistically your character would be worn out, drained of chakra, and probably half-dead.
